Windows in the Wilderness
The Skeletons were hauling (Fn) along as though she were a reluctant
donkey. She was certainly reluctant. She could not see the castle
anywhere, and when she asked them how far away it was they answered
with whoops and cackles. The clock was ticking toward thirteen all
the time. So perhaps she was indeed a donkey for having got herself
into this mess.
She tried to figure out where she should have made a different
choice. It was impossible. Suppose she had not approached Horuss,
right at the start, but walked the other way around that great wall?
Might she not, by now, be back home, wi

You decided that you definitely heard it come from upstairs. Once you reached the top you chose to try the first door you saw.
A cracked dirty white door. You hesitated for a moment, before grasping the door handle and turning. The resonating sound of 'click' told you where successful.
Pushing the door open you shuffled inside and felt the wall for a switch. Muttering to yourself when you found none you were about to turn and leave when a sudden movement in your peripheral caught your attention.
Sat in a window seat, one leg pulled up against his chest (at least you assumed it was a he due to his build) was a man in a hoodie as dirty as th

(FN) joined Horuss on the top rung of the ladder, gratefully
clutching the side of the open hatchway. It felt like firm land after
a voyage at sea.
They were looking at a garden, where birds were singing. It was
surrounded by well-trimmed hedges, and they ran so straight, with neatly cut openings in them, and turned such precise right angles, and the lawn was so flat and tidy, that the garden was like a green box, with the blue sky for a lid.
It was a rather formal garden, with carefully positioned stone monuments. On
the stones were runic carvings, and a few faces -- more of those

(FN) gasped. The whizzing blades were rapidly drawing nearer. Horuss was prodding pathetically at the great door and mumbling to himself. But (FN) wasn't listening to him. She was looking around for an escape -- above, below. She dashed along the side walls, looking for a handle or button. There had to be some way out. That was how the Labyrinth worked. There was always some trick, if only she could find it. The clanking, whirring noise was louder. She glanced momentarily at what Horuss was doing. He was still just scrabbling at the door. It was no use trusting to him. What could she do? What? Her eye

Can't Say Ch42 (Slenderman x Reader)
Mere hours before everyone was to gather at the Slender Family-Zalgoid border, you trembled with excitement - equaled by fear. You could feel your body quake, despite the numb and loose sensations. You were parched; god, no, you were nearly cotton-mouthed. With each piece of new gear you equipped, the more your heart pumped adrenaline through your veins. Masky suggested that you bring the holy water guns and back-up canisters for the beginning of the war. This way, you could break through your nerves and still fight until you were able to produce saliva again. You also equipped a crossbow and numerous bolts, plenty of kunai and shuriken

When you awoke the next morning you could feel your muscles groan at the stress you'd put on them not too long ago. But you ignored their burning pain and twisted your way out of the covers before getting dressed and going to have breakfast. Your parents weren't there, but they weren't your responsibility to look after so you didn't quite care. One breakfast later and you were left with a stunning new english report about your stance on Abortions, and why you believed this, and any searching on Brian you could complete in the mean time.
The first pages of reports were always the easiest since most of the space was taken up by the name/date

Halloween, also known as the best holiday ever! You were looking forward to celebrating at a local club with a few friends though you weren't planning to get smashed like they were. No, you were going to party hard on the dance floor till the sun came up. Yeah, that was the plan, which was probably why you hadn't moved from your couch all day other than to get more snacks and go to the bathroom. It was only midday and you weren't meeting your friends until eight that night so... Oh! You loved the show that popped up as 'coming next' on the television. It was just a rerun but hey, holidays were lazy days if you've ever known a lazy day, and y

Before clubbing was appropriate Jessica and Robert said that cake was necessary. Cake being a store bought cake they'd purchased from a supermarket which was now sitting in the refrigerator in their shared apartment. It wasn't like it was a long drive... it was just that you were so totally blown away by the events of the day already. It seemed like it took forever to get there and you just smiled and nodded as the couple kept shouting celebratory plans at you while pushing you inside their home. You were seated on their couch, ah the return of your good friend, and before long a slice of (f/f) cake was sat on your lap. Things calmed down as

The temperature dropped the second you became submerged in the shadows and a chill shook your body at the sharp decrease. You held your ground and glanced backwards to see that the woods from which you came still stood, almost cheerfully, behind you. Reassured by this you took a few more tentative steps into the darkness. Here the dew clung to clumps of grass as the sun could not reach to warm the weighted blades and release them of their burdens. The smell of moss assaulted your nostrils as you moved deeper still, its fluff sticking well up onto the trunk of the trees they called home. The trees may not have been asked their position on tha
